Love is love but it’s only fully understood by those who live and experience this love daily. How deluded society allows itself to be by assuming and for some deeply upholding dangerous domestications about gay/queer love. Yet doing so should be no more misunderstood than being heterosexual and having the freedom to BE in their own skin.
There’s an inner courage that gay black and brown men convey, when loving loudly, that’s beyond the comprehension of many to understand. The strength that it takes to be black/brown, same gender loving men is an act of bravery in a world where such love is all too often ostracized, coupled with toxic narratives that can abate such relationships. To love is to be courageous bc love and courage are synonymous. It can also be frightening and even dangerous.
